Many of you may know that I recently wrote a controversial article on Why I am against jailbreaking 2.x - The main reasons being my hatred of cracked apps and their unfair consequences on the respected and relevant developer.
A few days later, I was PMed by a member of iPTF, asking me (not at all politely…) to at least TRY the 2.x jailbreak before I slagged it off. At first, I argued back insisiting that doing so would make me lose all my notes and saved game data - But eventually the member convinced me to try, and I downloaded QuickPwn and tried my luck…

What is great for some is horrid for others.
This has become quite an issue for consumers angry about spending $8 for an application then to have it go on sale for free a bit later! However, many, those who haven’t purchased the app, are especially happy with this practice since it saves them some coin

I’ve wanted something like this for AGES.
The ability to control my iPod from my computer… What was needed was a VNC Server for the iPod. Well thanks to the legendary Saurik, this is now possible.

As you may know, people buy cases for iPod Touches in particular to stop scratching the metal back and sides.
Unfortuanetly, I found today that the Griffin Nu Form does not do this.
Because of its tight fit, the back of my iPod slides tightly against the back of the Nu Form, causing a light rub to form which is clearly seen because it’s metal…
Also, the sides of the Griffin are so sharp and pressing so hard against my iPod, that the front metal bezel gets a sandpaper feel and is all chipped and scratched.
As for the EasyDock part, that also causes the rub on the back.
The screen protector isn’t cut to fit, and as soon as I put it on, I ripped it back off, threw it on the floor and ordered one off eBay (which still doesn’t fit around the Home Button… but it’s better than what Griffin sent.)
My conclusion to this case - Buy it if you want a good looking case - Don’t buy it if you don’t want to scratch your iPod to shit.
It may be revolutionary - StatusNotifier has come to 2.x.
For those of you that don’t know, StatusNotifier displays an icon on your status bar when you have a new mail, missed call or sms.
In the same way, if you have an iPod Touch, it will display any emails you have unread.
The app refreshes every 60 seconds, which has its benefits and downsides:
Decreased battery life is inevitable…
But it refreshes faster than Apple’s own mail.app - So you’ll know if an email came within the minute, rather than having to wait for 15 minutes for your device to check.

People have been requesting it, and I was lucky to get one early from Amazon.
Unfortuanetly, I have to return it so that I’ll have enough money for a SwitchEasy RebelTouch - But before I ship it back tomorrow, I opened it sneakily and took some photos and gave it a once-over.
Ignore my unmade bed - It’s midnight. And enjoy the pictures and minimal text towards the bottom.
