pwnedThe iPhone Dev Team have updated their PwnageTool and QuickPwn jailbreaking tools to include support for the Firmware 2.2.1 update released a few days ago. If you have an original iPod touch or iPhone, you can update normally through iTunes to Firmware 2.2.1 and then run QuickPwn. If you have a 3G iPhone, you must follow the iPhone Dev Team’s specific instructions as there is a baseband update (02.30.03) in Firmware 2.2.1 which affects the yellowsn0w 3G unlock. If you’re not interested in unlocking your 3G iPhone, then these steps don’t apply and you can run QuickPwn normally. Lastly, the updated jailbreaking tools do not include support for the 2G iPod touch but the iPhone Dev Team states that “redsn0w is being actively researched and developed.”

PwnageTool is compatible with Mac only while QuickPwn supports both PC and Mac. You can find the official download for PwnageTool (Mac) here, QuickPwn (PC) here, and QuickPwn (Mac) here. There’s also many mirrored download links if you choose not to download the official torrent.
