Rumor Mill: 17″ MacBook Pro

UPDATE: The rumors were right on the ball. Near the end of the keynote held at Moscone West as part of Macworld 2009 was the introduction of a new 17″ MacBook Pro. Like noted, it features a non-removable battery and the best battery life to date. Just don’t be shy about the $2799 price tag.

According to Apple Insider, a 17″ unibody MacBook Pro could be showcased at the upcoming Macworld Expo ‘09. More surprisingly, rumor has it that inside will be a non-removable battery in return that it will be much more slim and able to run much longer than previous models. For many, this is a downside because many Mac users enjoy having a removable battery for many reasons.

Writer Mike Rose from over at The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) would be on the ball with this rumor if it indeed comes true, as he predicted a new 17″ MacBook a few days ago as one of his Macworld predictions.
