Well – It’s coming fast. Apple seeded the 2nd Beta of 2.2 out to developers last night, and it had some great new features:
Google Street View is one of them. You might remember (if you’ve been following the story of 2.2) that the first beta of 2.2 had the API for Street View, but it wasn’t enabled. It now is, so imagine this on your device with arrows allowing you to move around streets:

Also confirmed in the 2.2 Beta, was confirmation that Line-in audio accessories are now supported in the SDK. Good news for developers – But what does it mean for us?
With the line in support does that include ipod touch 1st gen?
thanks!

Also curious about line in support for 1st generation touch. Extremely relevant to my interests, what with skype through fring and Google Voice search. If anyone can answer this, I would be very grateful.

Unfortunately guys, line-in audio support through the headphone jack is only compatible with iPod touch 2G, iPhone and iPhone 3G.
