Griffin release a new app - iTalk Sync.
Griffin Technology have today released a new application on the App Store - iTalk.
This new Recording app works with iPhones and (finally) iPod 2G.
It’s currently available for free, but I imagine it will go up in price. Read more for links, more info and why I called it “iTalk Sync” in the title..
iTalk is a beautifully designed recording app for the iPhone platform, which looks sleek and stylish while at the same time, has a wide functionality.
The user can choose between Good/Better/Best recording quality, so your utterances which are of highest priority can be in the best quality, while your shopping lists and “note to selves” can be audible, but save space on your device.
The one button interface offers the user with a quick and easy operation in the field, and simple management for all of their recordings.
You can also add text notes to your recordings for future reference. If you’re a neat freak like me, this is an ideal feature to have in a voice recording app.
Now - Why is this more than just a voice recorder?
Well - This one can sync with your PC (coming soon) or Mac, and you can drag AIFF files from your iPod/iPhone straight onto your computer - Now THAT is a feature. All you need to do to harness this ability, is to visit http://italksync.com/download, and download your copy of the software.
Remember though, it’s only free for a short amount of time - So get it now and avoid disappointment

HI
can someone please tell me why when i go to download from the applications in apple on my ipod touch 2nd generation there is no option button to download it? I’ve contacted apple and they say they are not aware of any download applications for voice recording on the ipod touch 2nd gen.
Please someone help i need a voice recorder of high quality to record the entire room (wide angle mic)
Thanks and gratitude to anyone who can help.
I’m having the same issue. I noticed that none of the apps designed specifically for recording have an option to download. Maybe the app store thinks the app is incompatible or something. Maybe we need to hook a mic up to the iPod while downloading. My mic hasn’t come in yet so I haven’t been able to test my hypothesis.
This downloaded fine on my iPod iTouch 2G, but I first plugged in the earphones/remote mic as you suggested. No problem seeing the download options, so either it’s been fixed on the website, or your guess about having to have the mic plugged in at the same time was brilliant! (I didn’t try it without the mic being plugged in, so I don’t know if it was working regardless, or it required it.)
This is exactly the app I was looking for; Perfect!!
Thanks!
I have been searching everywhere for an answer–I can’t get my iTalk to recognize my iTalkSync attempts at connecting. I got it to work once, a couple of months ago, by turning off bluetooth and the 3G (I think); but now even that doesn’t work.
If anyone has an answer, please post it here. I will follow comment follow-ups.
Thanks!
