Nowadays, everyone wants to jailbreak their iPod Touch or iPhone. Well… not everyone – Me for example. I’ve opted for the “Buy 2 iPod Touches and jailbreak neither of them” method.
But why? Why do you NEED to jailbreak your device on 2.x? I understand 1.1.x – But then… why are you still on 1.1.x!?!?!?!!?!?
You can read my thoughts here if ya like…
There are three options:
1) You jailbreak 2.x for a select few apps – All I can think of is the legendary application from my not-close-friend-but-I-like-to-think-he-likes-me Skylar EC. You might jailbreak JUST for PocketTouch. But there are no other good ports to 2.x that I can think of…
2) You jailbreak to rebel! Screw Apple to the max! Watch me void my warranty and show off to all my friends that I have Cydia and Installer and they don’t! Mwahhaha!
3) And possibly the most likely… You’re all jailbreaking for illegal and wrong cracked applications.
Now – This is wrong. I know me giving you a talking to won’t change your mind – But I’ve spent a LOT on apps. Between £250 – £500. And I’ve paid legitimetly for EVERY app I’ve bought and that are on my 2 devices.
I’m fair to developers by giving them what they deserve by paying them the asking price for their application. I’d be pretty pissed off if I made an app worthy of £2 and people were cracking it and stealing my work. Pissed off to the max… But everyone’s doing it.
If the devs wanted you to have it for free, they’d've made the price Free. If you can’t afford it – Go out and get a job or sell some stuff to make money. It really winds me up when people request a jailbreak on iPTF just so they can get their beloved cracked apps back on a newer firmware.
You people under 14 must not know how much hard work goes into making these apps. So why don’t you save the money you were going to spend on a pack of gum and put it on an iTunes account. Maybe if you do that once a week, you’ll avoid breaking the law and maybe earn back my respect.
Sorry to put it bluntly – But I hope Apple F**KING GET YOU. =D
I want the jailbreak makers to make the jailbreak stop you from accessing the parts on your device which make the cracked apps work… But I know it’s never going to happen.
Anyway… Message to all readers: Unjailbroken 2.x is fine – Even if you go out and buy a £20 iTunes card and download good free apps and some good paid ones. Cracking is bad..
