The app “Guitarist” by Mark Terry (you may know him as “MooTheCow”) has been featured on UK iTunes following today’s App Store update.

The App (which is personally my favourite at the moment) has a mini banner on the App Store index page (seen below) next to Line Rider and EA. It made me smile - Because Mark deserves this exposure for all of his incredible work on the MooCowMusic Apps for App Store and the jailbroken 1.1.x platform.

I LOVE that blue.

Let’s come back to heterosexuality - You’ll want to know what it’s like, yes?

Well to put it bluntly - Amazing. Definitely the best MCM App released yet - Even better than Band. Good for guitar players, and good for people who can’t play guitar put know about Tabs. The features are:

  • Manual Guitar - Play chords by putting your fingers on the strings and strumming.
  • Hammer-On Guitar - Tap any fret and it plays it. Great for solos.
  • Tab Guitar - Input tab and play it back at your own speed by strumming. This is my favourite feature.
  • Scale Guitar - Choose a note, choose a scale, and slide up and down the fret board. It will play the scale you chose in the key you chose - This is my second favourite feature.
  • It even has a record feature and effects.

A brilliant App. But what is it missing?

  • A metronome.
  • Built in chords similar to the app “Chord Play” - Then even non-guitarists can use it.

And what else? Well - IT’S ON SALE.

From yesterday, the app was put on sale to £1.79 ($2.99) for a LIMITED time only - Get it before it goes back up to double price.

There we have it. This is my favourite app at the moment and sounds great on my iPod 2G’s speaker. =)

Get it here.
