Hot on the heels of the iPhone 1.1.1 firmware update, the iPod touch update is out! Weighing in at a whopping 150 megabytes, it features just one terse comment in the change log:

One of the bug fixes seems to correct the iPod’s identity crisis which we previously reported on. In this new update, the touch is correctly identified as an iPod in prompts:

Some users have also been reporting screen improvements on the week 37 iPods that exhibited the “negative black” problem.
