iPod touch vs. iPhone front iPod touch vs. iPhone back iPod touch vs. iPhone profile

Here are some shots comparing a 4GB iPhone and an 8GB iPod touch, side by side. As you can tell, the iPod touch is slightly smaller and a lot thinner (only 8mm thick!). You may also notice that the back of the touch is very polished metal just like on previous iPod models, and picks up fingerprints and gets scratched very easily. The black corner on the back of the touch is a plastic portion of the casing for the WiFi antenna, designed so that the radio signal can pass through (since it wouldn’t work through metal).

    too bad they went with the old back, mines gonna get scratched so bad… i actually took some brillo to my old iPod video and made it brushed metal lol. it looked surprisingly good tho.

    i’ve got an 8gb touch…and the back, though it does scratch, is way more durable than my old 1st gen ipod nano

    I have a Ipod Touch and though I havnt activated it yet it seems to be very durible on the count of when I was taking it out of the box I dropped it down hard wooden stairs and nothing happened to it.
